It’s second week of October and day temperatures are in the range of 35 to 37 degrees three to four degrees above normal.

“There is still some maritime air in eastern parts of UP. In a day or two, it will leave the State completely and day temperatures will start falling down then,” said the weatherman.

About high day temperatures, he said there were no clouds and no pollution in the air (as post monsoon atmosphere is generally pollution free with rains washing away the pollutants). Due to this sunrays fall direct. Once the westerly winds set in, the temperatures would start going down and make the sun less harsh on us, he said.

It has been most unusual for October that day temperature has been ranging around 35 degrees in the first 10 days. The maximum temperature on Monday was 35.8 degree, three degrees above normal.
