EDUCATION OFFICIALS have geared up for evaluation of UP Board answersheets. Five centres have been set up in the district this year. The UP Board has set new standards for evaluators. According to new guidelines, evaluators will be declared ineligible for the job for three years in case of wrong evaluation. Their remuneration will be stopped. Evaluators will have to submit their resumes with details of their experiences, educational qualifications, relieving orders from schools and their identity cards.

Sources said education officials would train evaluators. A compact disc (CD) has been issued to the deputy controller of the evaluation centres regarding stepwise evaluation and other guidelines. Education officials have been told that relieving orders for evaluators from their respective schools and colleges are a must.
According to new guidelines, evaluators will not be allowed to enter into evaluation centres, if they are more than 30 minutes late. Teaching experience of two years will be mandatory for evaluators.
This year, the MP Inter College, the Marwar Inter College, the DB Inter College, the Jubilee Inter College and the MSI Inter College are the new centres. The St Andrew’s College and MG Inter College have not been made centres this time.
Evaluation of answersheets will begin on April 12. There were complaints last time that ineligible teachers were evaluating answersheets. On the other hand, some principals who were on the verge of retirement were not made evaluators even once.

{{/usCountry}}According to sources, about 10 lakh answersheets will be evaluated at five centrse in the district. At Jubilee Inter College, answer sheets of Intermediate Civics, Maths, Economic, Logic, and Music will be checked, besides Chemistry, Geography, Arabic and English. Seventy-five deputy heads and 569 assistant evaluators have been deputed to the task.
