The BJP corporators have submitted a dozen questions for the Question Hour in the meeting. The Question Hour in the council meeting was introduced about four months back.

At least two corporators – Sanjay Sharma and NS Pal— have asked the question related to embezzlement of fund deposited by people for development in illegal colonies.

This embezzlement was detected in zone-11 a couple of years back. However, the BMC failed to take any concrete action in this matter, resulting in huge financial loss to its kitty. The BMC had suspended a clerk in this matter but no action was taken against any senior official.

Another corporator – Krishna Mohan Soni- has sought information related to implementation of Bhopal’s Narmada Water Supply Scheme. He has asked for the current status of the scheme’s implementation. He alleged that the utilisation of funds has not been proper.
