Women seem to love the good old-fashioned romance as they prefer hearing their partner say “I love you” or going on a dream holiday, more than receiving gifts from them.
Of the total number of women (aged 50 or above) surveyed by the British Heart Foundation, 42% said that hearing their partner saying “I love you” was the best way to their hearts, closely followed by going on a dream holiday (40%).
Senior cardiac nurse June Davison of British Heart Foundation said: “It seems the best way to make a woman swoon is by telling her you love her before tucking her up in bed for a good night’s sleep.” “Our survey was a bit of fun but there’s nothing funny about the fact that heart disease kills three times more women than breast cancer,” she added, according to a Heart Foundation statement.
Such women also prefer a good night’s sleep than receiving sexy lingerie as a gift. One in six women opted for a good night’s sleep to get their hearts in a flutter, the survey said. Whereas when it comes to sexy lingerie, only one in 20 women of this age group, said sexy lingerie gets their heart racing.
