Olmert calls Iran Prez psycopath

The interim Israeli Prime Minister has said that Iranian President is Ahmadinejad is a psycopath who speaks like Hitler.

Branding Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad as a "psycopath" who "speaks like Hitler," Israel's interim Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has said he hopes the threats are not converted into deeds, a media report said.

The Iranian president "is a psychopath of the worst kind. He speaks like Hitler did of the extermination of the entire Jewish nation," daily 'Ha'aretz' quoted Olmert to have told German newspaper 'Bild' in excerpts of an interview published on Saturday.

"I hope that he will never become so dangerous and destructive, like Adolph Hitler was," the interim Prime Minister said adding he hoped "he never gets the chance to transfer its threats into the deeds."

"If one wants to judge a statesman based on his words, I can say Ahmadinejad speaks today as Hitler spoke before the seizure of power," he said.

Ahmedinejad had previously called to "wipe off Israel from the world map," a comment he followed up with a more stinging attack recently calling it a "rotten, dried tree" that will be annihilated by "one storm."

Repeating his comments on Tuesday, when Israel observed Remembrance Day in memory of six million Jews exterminated by the Nazi regime, the Iranian President had said the Jews of Israel should return to Europe.
