Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will meet former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf on the sidelines of a conclave in Delhi, which both of them are likely to attend.
All Parties Hurriyat Conference chairman and top separatist leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq will also fly to Delhi this weekend to meet Musharraf.
Musharraf, who had evoked mixed feelings in Kashmir by spelling out his four-point formula - open borders, demilitarisation on both sides of the Line of Control, self-governance and joint mechanism - in December 2006, is expected to be in Delhi this weekend.
Abdullah first met Musharraf in March 2006 in Islamabad and told Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on his return that this was a "golden opportunity" for India to resolve the Kashmir issue.
" I hope we will catch up with each other there," Abdullah told Hindustan Times. The Kashmir CM, who is a staunch advocate of better Indo-Pak ties, considered Musharraf to be capable enough to achieve the goal.
Mirwaiz had been meeting Musharraf since October 2004 in different locations like Amsterdam, New York, Delhi and Islamabad. Mirwaiz, who had become a cheerleader of Musharraf's four-point formula, told Hindustan Times, "I am going to Delhi to meet him."
