This follows a Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) circular last week allowing airlines to charge fees for ‘unbundled services’ such as check-in baggage, preferential seats, meals, snacks or drinks (barring drinking water) and sports and musical instruments on their domestic flights.
