His mission could be summed up in just five words - 'Right to know the right'. "And when the issue is concerned with the death of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose then citizens definitely have the right to know the right", says VP Saini, national secretary of All India Forward Bloc and president of Netaji Subhash Foundation who was in the city on Tuesday.
"If enquiry commissions from time to time emerged with shocking revelations about the death of the Azad Hind Fauz supreme commander, then a few organisations too stepped ahead to put forward their findings and factoids.
However, the rejection of the present report submitted by Mukherjee Enquiry Commission has raised an upheaval, especially among those who have been the champions in handling these issues," added Saini.
Saini has been an active researcher on the issue concerned with the death of Netaji and he has also penned a book titled 'Conspirators, abductors and killers of Netaji'.
At present, he is on a nation-wide campaign wherein he is motivating the people for a cause. "The reports of Mukherjee Commission were rejected without citing any valid reason. We demand the Government of India to accept the report and retrieve the unknown facts about Netaji. If it has any document to support its decision to reject the report of the Commission then the document should be made public. We also demand to put those under trial who came up with fabricated reports as this is a crime under law," he said.
"For this purpose, we have launched a nation-wide movement called 'Netaji Chetna Yatra' in which people will march to Raj Bhawan in all the States on July 12 and present a memorandum to the Governor demanding acceptance of the report by Government of India. On July 26, there will be another massive march to Parliament demanding the Government to accept the report," said Saini. He is on a tour of the country covering 300 kms daily. "I started from Punjab, and then went to Chandigarh, Delhi, Mathura, Agra, Gwalior, Jhansi and now I will leave for Varanasi. From July 6, I will cover the Southern region as well as Himachal and Jammu and Kashmir. Subrata Bose and Chitra Bose, nephew and niece of Netaji are also participating actively in the movement," he added.
