People fed up with SP: Vora
FORMER GOVERNOR and AICC treasurer Motilal Vora on Monday criticised the State Government for its utter failure in controlling the law and order situation.
Vora said people, who were facing power and water crises, were fed up with the present dispensation in the State.
He was here on Monday to review ongoing construction work of the Rs 101-crore Indira Gandhi Pratisthan and discuss the National Herald issue. He said Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav would not be able to attract voters with his announcements. He also said the people would dethrone the ruling Samajwadi Party in the next assembly election.
Assailing the State Government, Vora said a reign of terror had been let loose against Congress workers. He also said party workers would stage a dharna at the district level on July 5 in protest against atrocities on them. Referring to Yadav’s statement about withdrawal of support from the Congress-led UPA Government, Vora said the chief minister should first talk about it with his allies.
Asserting that the UPA Government would complete its full term, Vora said Congress chief Sonia Gandhi had summoned a meeting of Congress chief ministers on July 5 to discuss measures to control rising prices.

Expressing satisfaction over construction of the Pratishthan, Vora said nearly 50 per cent work had been completed at an expenditure of Rs 44 crore. He said the High Court was monitoring the progress of work every month. The auditorium was been completed and construction of the children park was under way. Vora said the project would be completed by next year.
He expressed satisfaction over the functioning of the UPCC.
He also met Governor TV Rajeswar. However, he refused to comment on the Raj Bhawan-High Court face-off.
