One arrested for forged documents

One person was arrested for allegedly forging documents to obtain a passport in Bajheri village in the district in Muzaffarnagar.

One person was on Thursday arrested for allegedly forging documents to obtain a passport in Bajheri village in the district in Muzaffarnagar, police said.

Salim Hasan was arrested for forging documents to get a third passport, they said.

The case came to light when local intelligence unit inquired into the matter and found that Hasan, who had applied for the passport, already had two passports and had gone to Saudi Arabia for a job, Inspector S N Tiwari said, adding Hasan provided fake information for obtaining the third passport.

Hasan has been arrested and is being charged under various sections of IPC, he said.
