A woman was killed and six other persons were injured in a blast triggered by suspected ULFA militants in Bamuni Maidan area of the city on Saturday night.
The bomb went off near the railway tracks outside the Northeast Frontier Rail Colony, killing the woman and injuring six persons, Senior Superintendent of Police Nitul Gogoi said.

The woman has been identified as S Begum (50). The injured have been admitted to hospital, he said.
Senior police officers were at the spot which has been cordoned off.
