IN ORDER to ease the city’s traffic bottlenecks, SSP Raja Srivastav has introduced one-way traffic system on important routes.

Haphazard parking of cars and scooters in main markets like Golghar, Bank Road and Cinema road will cost heavily to vehicle owners. Similarly, parking on both sides of the roads at court crossing to Shastri crossing has been banned.
The city has been divided into nine sectors and the SSP office issued the duty chart of police sub-inspectors. The no-entry system for heavy vehicles will be strictly followed and sub-inspector Mahendra Pratap Singh has been deputed to control traffic system in the city. Singh will be mobile to check various points.
The SSP has directed police station in charge to be mobile during peak hours to address traffic jam problems at various crossings. He said sometimes roadways buses were parked on roads creating hurdles in the easy movement of traffic.
Thus, taxis, private buses or roadways buses would not be allowed to pick up passengers from outside the premises of the bus station.
In densely populated areas single bed traffic system has been introduced. From Chhatra Sangh crossing to Golghar the single traffic system will be introduced from 8 am to 11 pm. Similarly, from Narmal crossing to Ghantaghar, Urdu Bazar, Badhu Singh Park and other areas, the traffic from Narmal side will be allowed to move ahead while the traffic from opposite side will have to choose the other routes to reach Narmal taxi stand.
According to new traffic system, four-wheelers will not be allowed at Khoonipur and Sahibganj crossing from Chaurahi Gola.
