Claiming that Congress was the only party, which could provide a stable government at the Centre, Congress' star campaigner Rahul Gandhi said on Sunday that development had come to a halt during the successive non-Congress regimes.

Addressing people during his roadshow for party nominee Louis Khursheed in Farrukhabad, Rahul urged the people to vote in favour of the Congress' as it was the only party, which could resolve their pressing problems.
Development of the state had come to a standstill during the successive non-Congress regimes, he said, asserting that only Congress could provide stability.
A huge crowd greeted Rahul throughout the 35 km route between Kayamganj and Farrukhabad where he was showered with flowers by enthusiastic supporters.
The crowd forced Rahul to make unscheduled stops at several places and shook hands with the young leader.
He freely mingled with the people and also enquired about their problems.
During the little over three hours of roadshow, Rahul also highlighted the 'failures' of the NDA Government.
