THE MP Indoor Cricket Association will organise the first Bhopal open indoor cricket tournament in the City from October 13.
According to an association press release, 24 boys teams and 10 girls’ teams from Sagar, Itarsi, Indore, Dewas and Bhopal will participate in the tournament. A show match will be held on the opening day.
Radhakrishnan students excel in kho-kho
BHE DR Radhakrishnan Senior Secondary School girls finished runners-up at the cluster-level CBSE kho-kho tournament held in Dewas recently. About 20 CBSE schools from Madhya Pradesh and Chatttisgarh participated in the tournament.
Jhankar Chadhar, a class IX student of the same school, won a bronze medal at the national boxing championship (junior group) held at Patiala defeating a Sikkim girl.
School principal P A Nair and the staff members have congratulated the students for their brilliant performance.
Golf camp from Oct 10
THE BHEL Golf Club will organise a six-day camp at JP Narayanan BHEL Sports Complex from October 10. According to a BHEL press release, Arjun award recipient Ali Sher has been invited to conduct the camp. The camp will be held daily from 6:30 am to 8:30 am and 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
Interested players may register their name for the camp with the fee Rs 200. Though the club will provide the ball, the players have to bring the kit.
