Orissa advising fishermen not to go out to sea

The Orissa government has issued an advisory to fishermen asking them not to venture out to sea as the meteorological department has predicted heavy rainfall in the coastal areas of the state, an official said on Saturday.

The Orissa government has issued an advisory to fishermen asking them not to venture out to sea as the meteorological department has predicted heavy rainfall in the coastal areas of the state, an official said on Saturday.

The weatherman has said that a low pressure has formed about 170 km off Balasore resulting in turbulent sea and winds measuring up to 60-65 km per hour.

The department has forecast heavy to very heavy rain in the region.
