The mail, written in Hindi using English alphabets was received at the official e-mail address of the chief minister on Monday night, police said.
The e-mail said that a few security officials also were hand-in-glove with them to carry out the operation.
"The chief minister's office has received such an email but there is nothing to worry," state police chief Amarananda Patnaik told IANS.
Some body might have done a mischief, he said.
