Director of Town and Country Planning (DTCP), Haryana, has directed officials concerned to remove encroachment from the green belt and take its possession.

The officials should then hand over the land to the Haryana Urban Development Authority (Huda) for carrying out horticulture.

A meeting in this regard took place recently when finance commissioner and principal secretary (town and country planning) SS Dhillon visited Gurgaon. Senior officials of Huda, town and country planning and municipal corporation were also present.

Dhillon directed district town planner (DTP) V Rana to prepare the status report of green belts along NH-8 between South City Chawk and Rajiv Chowk, and also along Sohna Road from Rajiv Chowk to Badhshapur in the next 30 days. He directed the officials to submit the report to Huda.

Huda administrator Nitin K Yadav has been asked to submit the estimate of the horticulture work to be carried out on the green belt along NH-8 and Sohna Road.
