After 11 days of non-stop voting online by HindustanTimes.com surfers, the results for Miss World '06 are finally out. While officially there is still a day left for the grand finale when the winner of the glittering crown will be declared in Warsaw, we reveal the results of HindustanTimes.com Miss World '06 poll.

The voting, which was open to surfers from September 18-28, drew a total of 4083 votes. We have picked the top five contestants who emerged as frontrunners in the beauty race with the highest number of votes from all of you.

The clear favourite, Miss India Natasha Suri, from Mumbai, is leading with 2322 votes. Miss Malaysia is second in the race with 512 votes. Surfers have given 231 votes to Miss Australia, 137 to Miss France and 114 votes to Miss Hungary. Representatives of USA, Denmark, Indonesia, Macedonia, Zambia received the poorest response with just one vote each.


PUNTERS CONFIDENT OF INDIA'S WIN
In the world of betting, Miss Venezeula and Miss India are running neck-to-neck. Miss Venezuela is leading the pack with the odds one to six, followed by Miss India, Miss Australia and Miss Czech Republic with figures of 15 to two. India figures in the top three favourites and has a good chance of winning the title, predict punters.

IF LOOKS COULD KILL...
India's leading fashion designer Ritu Kumar feels, "Her selection of dresses will certainly enhance her looks and will create a great impression on the judges."

Designer Deepika Gehani says, "Her looks are an interesting combination of Indianness with international appeal."

However, the votes cast online give just a partial picture of who could be the winner at the pageant on September 30.
