Even though the power distribution company claims to have improved electricity supply in the city, the residents of DLF City continued to face outages up to 12 hours a day.
The residents complained that they have been facing frequent power cuts between 10 to 12 hours a day for the past three days.
According to officials of the discom, Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN), the problem occurred due to some technical snags at Jhajjar and Khedar power plants. They said the power cuts were scheduled for only four-five hours a day.
"Our refrigerators have developed glitches due to voltage fluctuation. Invertors have also stopped working as there is not enough power to recharge the battery," said Suresh Kumar, a resident of DLF Phase 1.
A resident of Sector 40 said the authorities seem to have been waiting for another protest.
"It is high time the authorities should chalk out a plan to ensure smooth power supply in summer."
Sanjiv Chopra, superintending engineer, DHBVN, also admitted that DLF City is the worst affected due to snags at two plants and the discom is transferring loads from one sub-station to another.

{{/usCountry}}"Earlier things were fine as it was raining and offices were closed on weekends. But now the consumption has increased and we are compelled to impose power cuts." he said, adding "We are imposing power cuts of 4-5 hours a day only."
He said that the situation would become normal from Friday.
