Over 25 lakh students to appear

MORE THAN 25 lakh students are expected to appear for the middle (8th) and primary (5th) board exams that would commence simultaneously in all districts of the State on March 28 and 29 respectively.

MORE THAN 25 lakh students are expected to appear for the middle (8th) and primary (5th) board exams that would commence simultaneously in all districts of the State on March 28 and 29 respectively.

Of these, about 14 lakh students would appear for the primary board exams while 11lakh-odd would appear for the middle board.

In the district, about 74,000 students would appear for these exams. A total of about 42,994 students would appear for the primary board at 469 examination centres while about 31,320 would appear for the middle board exams at 213 centres. District Education Officer O P Sharma said that the admit cards have already been distributed.

Ten flying squads would keep check on the attempts to use unfair means during the board exams. These would include three squads of the DEO, two of the Block Education Officers and others. Valuation work would commence on April 5 at 30 centres comprising high schools and higher secondary schools.
