“There are over 10 to 14 SBI ATMs in the area and the bank has outsourced the task of refilling the money in those ATMs to a private company,” a police officer said.

Vicky and Sahil, two employees of the company were tasked to replenish the ATMs, the officer said.

The company received complaints that the amount deposited in the machines doesn’t tally with what was shown on the papers, following which the company audited and found that over Rs 3 crore has been swindled from these ATMs.
