Over 42,000 additional tickets for WC

World Cup organisers have announced that an additional 42,495 tickets are up for sale online at the tournament's official website.

World Cup organisers said on Thursday that an additional 42,495 tickets are for sale for the upcoming soccer gala in Germany.

The tickets were handed over by FIFA, which is allowed to keep only 30,000 tickets for last-minute sales. The tickets are immediately available online at the June 9-July 9 tournament's official website.

"We are happy to note that almost three million tickets have not only been sold but also been delivered," ticketing organizer Horst Schmit said.
