Mahender Gupta, district malaria officer, said, “Water supply suddenly got contaminated in the area. We have asked the authorities to repair pipes. Residents of the area should boil water before drinking.”
Residents, however, blame the administration. “This happens every year. We have been getting contaminated water for the last seven to eight days. Though we informed the authorities, nothing concrete has been done so far,” said a resident.
