The health department has asked civic agencies supplying drinking water to increase chlorination and plug leakages in the supply lines.

Mahender Gupta, district malaria officer, said, “Water supply suddenly got contaminated in the area. We have asked the authorities to repair pipes. Residents of the area should boil water before drinking.”
