"No foreign militant will be allowed to use Pakistan’s territory for any terrorist activity or for training for such activities, and the spread of extremism in Pakistan shall not be tolerated either," the Daily Times quoted Musharraf as saying while speaking at the 97th Corps Commanders’ Conference here on Wednesday evening.

On the occasion, Musharraf also said that his country’s armed forces were fully prepared, equipped and motivated to defend the frontiers of the country.

"They will not let any one look towards Pakistan with malicious intentions," he added.

He said defence of the country was the foremost responsibility of the armed forces.

Later, according to the paper, the President briefed his Generals about the latest developments in Pakistan-India relations after the last month’s Mumbai train blasts.
