Former cricket captain Wasim Akram has suggested the Pakistani squad not to collapse under the pressure of the high-profile series and to strengthen their positives with right temperament and technique.

"If they come under pressure they will not be able to perform to the required level. What needed is handling of pressure situations with technique," the Daily Times quoted him, as saying.
According to him, India pacers had an edge due to experience but Pakistani young bowlers were good enough to give a tough fight.
"Pressure will be on Mohammad Sami who will be a front-line bowler. He needs extra hard work to fulfill the job," the paper quoted Wasim as saying.
Akram further said that Danish Kaneria and Arshad Khan, two specialist spinners, can be effective on the Indian wickets and believed the wickets would favour the spinners.
He remarked that Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhtar would be missed
during the tour, as he was a bowler with an unmatched potential and quality.
Wasim categorically denied that he had held any talks with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding the post of bowling coach and expressed his happiness over Waqar Younis's appointment.

understands the nature of his job," Akram was quoted as saying.
He, however, said that he was willing to take up a job with the
Pakistani squad if offered. He was always ready to provide guidance to young talents of the team if they needed his assistance.
Wasim escaped a direct comment regarding the appointment of Younis Khan as vice captain and was quoted as saying, "It is the discretion of the PCB to appoint leaders of the team and they are the best judges to take such decisions."
