The boy, Numan Arshad, who was nabbed on Tuesday from a spot near the border fence noting down BSF positions, claimed that that there was a plan to infiltrate seven Pakistani suicide bombers. He said of the seven, three were women.

On December 31, 2009, Pakistani security agencies claimed to have foiled a Taliban plot to attack the flag-hoisting ceremony at Wagah with the arrest of 10 people, including a top militant commander.

BSF Deputy IG Mohammad Aquil said “We are yet to know what exactly Numan’s plan was. But the accused is very sharp and well trained, which make things look dangerous.”

Numan went to a training school in Okara district of Pakistani Punjab, from where Ajmal Kasab, main accused in the November 26, 2008, Mumbai attack case, also came.

Claiming to have been trained in operating small arms, missiles and suicide jackets in terrorist camps in Pakistan, Numan said his trainers had sent him to the Attari border and promised to take him back at night.
