Pakistani troops violated ceasefire twice in 24 hours once on the Line of Control on Thursday and the second time at the international border on Friday morning , reports Arun Joshi.

Pakistani troops violated ceasefire twice in 24 hours — once on the Line of Control on Thursday and the second time at the international border on Friday morning — firing mortars and rockets on the Indian positions at the time when Islamabad has been rebuffed by India for its meddling into its Kashmir affairs.

No major loss was reported in both incidents, which army sources described as brazen acts of ceasefire violations by the Pakistani army.

Early morning on Friday — the independence day of India — Pakistani troops fired rockets in the Ranbirsinghpora sector, about 30 km west of Jammu. This was the second time along the international border that Pakistani troops had fired on the Indian side this year. On May 8, Pakistani troops had fired several hundred rounds in the Samba sector facilitating the intrusion of several militants, who later killed six civilians in the border town of Samba on May 11.
