Pakistani troops from opposite post fired with small arms weapons on Khour Border Out Post (BOP) along the Line of Control (LoC) of Jammu district late last night, he told PTI.

In the brief firing, one havaldar Pratap Singh of 9 Raj Rifles, who was patrolling LoC at that time, was critically injured and airlifted to Military hospital in Udhampur.

Indian troops guarding the borderline with Pakistan did not reply to provocative shelling on Indian position.

This was another ceasefire violation by the Pakistan, despite promising us at Lahore meeting that no cross firing would be resorted to by them, he said.

Two BSF jawans were injured in shelling and firing from Pakistani side on Indian posts of Durga and Naka-11 in Jammu border on November 4.

At a two-day long biennial meeting between Pakistan Rangers and BSF at Lahore on October 16 Pakistan Rangers Director General Lt Gen Mohammad Yaqoob Khan promised to Additional Director General BSF U K Bansal that there would be no ceasefire violations.
