Pakistan Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz Thursday said his country and India are fast getting closer and permanent peace in the region was in sight.
Talking to a media delegation from Oman here, Aziz said Pakistan wants peaceful relations with all its neighbours.
"Pakistan's relations with India are improving. We have given some bold suggestions to India to resolve the Kashmir dispute," he said.
He said sustainable peace couldn't be achieved in South Asia without a just solution of the Kashmir dispute in line with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
He emphasised the need to expand trade and business relations between the two countries, as there was great potential for it in a number of sectors.
"We support the (Hamid) Karzai government and are in favour of a stable and prosperous Afghanistan," he said.
