“We will do whatever is required,” Qureshi said as reports from Mumbai suggested that those involved in the multiple terror attacks could have come by boat from Karachi.

“The Mumbai attacks are barbaric. They are unthinkable. I condemn these in the strongest possible terms,” Qureshi, who held talks with External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi on Wednesday night, told this correspondent.

The Foreign Minister, who was on his way to Chandigarh for a conference, felt that India and Pakistan were facing a common enemy. “Just recall what happened at the Mariott Hotel in Islamabad recently,” he stated.

“I offer my total sympathy to the people and government of India. I also offer our total support and understanding,” the Foreign Minister added.
