Junpo Jugli, chairperson of Changlang zilla parishad, was conferred with the award during the 18th Women Political Empowerment Day celebrations in New Delhi on Monday for her outstanding contribution in the development of grass root, official sources said in Itanagar on Tuesday.

Jugli is one of the founding members of the Federation of Elected Women Representative of Arunachal Pradesh and also a trainee of the now-defunct Hunger Project Arunachal Chapter.
