The order comes just two months after the CBI had given Pandher a clean chit in the same case.

With this judgement, families of Nithari victims said they now have some hope for justice.

Advocate Khalid Khan said, “Special CBI Judge Rama Jain today ordered that Pandher be treated as an additional accused under IPC section 302, 364,376,201 and 120B in the Rimpa Halder murder case. This is the sixth case in which Moninder Singh Pandher has been charged for murder and rape.”

The court order is based on the statement recorded by Anil Halder, the father of the victim, advocate Khan said.

“He (Anil) had deposed that Pandher had confessed his crime before him. Also, Anil was present when Pandher had taken the police to the spot from where a saw was recovered,” Khan added.

Pappu Lal, the father of another Nithari victim said, “The CBI had given a clean chit to Pandher. Only the special CBI judge provided us with this expectation for justice.”
