Panel formed to rationalise tax on commercial properties

Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Friday formed a committee to rationalise property tax on commercial properties situated in various municipal areas of the state.

Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Friday formed a committee to rationalise property tax on commercial properties situated in various municipal areas of the state.

He ordered that the recovery of the tax on such properties would remain in abeyance for 45 days, a release said, adding that Hooda constituted the committee keeping in view the people's demand for rationalisation of property tax on commercial properties.

Industries minister Randeep Singh Surjewala will head the committee, while other members are Savitri Jindal, Hisar MLA; BB Batra, Rohtak MLA; Bharat Bhushan, president, municipal committee, Narwana; and Maman Chand, vice-president, municipal committee, Bhiwani. The committee has been asked to submit its report by July 29, the release added.
