Leading the protestors, Rajesh Pargotra, provincial general secretary, questioned, "Why has the PM been invited when just a few days ago the Chinese made incursions into the India territory".

The party activists raised slogans against Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and external affairs minister Salman Khurshid. Pargotra cautioned the Centre to deal and negotiate the issue of incursion with iron hands and asked the government to vacate the already occupied area by China in this region, which was gifted by Pakistan to China.

"It is the cowardice of the Congress-led UPA government to kneel before the Chinese PM and to feast him," alleged Pargotra. He suggested that the government did not detract from their stand of vacating the whole area occupied by China, which had been under India's possession in 19th century.

Criticising Chinese premier for claiming Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Ladakh as its own area, Pargotra said in such circumstances government should take the issue seriously and endeavour to negotiate for de-escalation. Also, they should not succumb to any pressure applied by China.
