Expecting a huge influx of people wishing to watch shooting events at the Karni Singh Shooting Range on the Delhi-Haryana border during the Games, the Faridabad administration is making special parking arrangements in the Surajkund area.
“We got a letter from the CWG organizing committee asking us to make parking arrangements,” Deputy Commissioner, Faridabad, Praveen Kumar, said.
ACP Traffic, Faridabad, Raj Kumar, said, “We have suggested the use of Kant Enclave area to set up the parking lot. Though it is a private colony, the area can accommodate over 2,500 vehicles,” he said.
He further said that they were looking for a government land to set up the parking facility. When asked, DC Praveen Kumar said it hadn’t been finalised if visitors would pay parking fee or not.
