Vigyan Prasar Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh fellow Rajendra Singh informed that 12 centres were formed in Indore for the people to watch the eclipse. Vigyan Prasar provided polymer film glasses to the people, as eclipse cannot be viewed with naked eyes, said Rajendra.

A special science kit was sent to 150 schools that have Vigyan Prasar science clubs a day before the solar eclipse. The eclipse began at 4.48 pm in Indore. It reached its peak at 5.16 pm and then ended at 5.33 pm. Partial solar eclipse was seen all over the country, whereas full eclipse was visible in Brazil for a minute.

The event generated curiosity among the people who stopped by at the centre put up by Vigyan Prasar near MY Hospital to watch the solar eclipse. Schoolchildren, college students and elders all enjoyed the geographical event with the polymer glasses.

However, people from Indore and surrounding areas took the holy dip in rivers and also conducted worship and observed complete rituals on account of the eclipse.
