Party time for the girls of Kamala Nehru College
The season for freshers’ is here and so is HT City’s Fresh on Campus, which kickstarted with the bash at Delhi University’s Kamala Nehru College, recently.This year, their freshers’ theme was Arabian Nights.
The season for freshers’ is here and so is HT City’s Fresh on Campus, which kickstarted with the bash at Delhi University’s Kamala Nehru College, recently.This year, their freshers’ theme was Arabian Nights, with the fuchchas showing their bellydancing moves on songs such as Maiya Maiya. Despite the rain, the girls continued to dance open-air to popular Bollywood numbers such as Chikni Chameli, and hit songs from films such as Cocktail and Desi Boyz that were played by DJ Mukul. But the crowd’s energy rose to another level when punjabi rapper Honey Singh’s songs such as Dope Shope and Angrezi Beat, among others were played.
Also seen were The Diva of the Day and Coolest Fresher Contest, giving the students a chance to show their talent.“It was a fabulous party and a great way to enter college,” said Jasmine Sodhi, a 1st-year student of Philosophy Honours.
35 beauties participated in Veet Diva of the Day contest. And, after three rounds: ramp walk, talent round and a Q&A session, 18-year-old Saanya Makkar, a 1st-year Psychology Honours student, was crowned the diva and Chetna Dua-Diva of the Day.
