Criticising BSP President Mayawati, he urged both upper castes and the Dalits to be cautious, as the BSP supremo could betray them all for her vested political interests.

The LJP president promised a house to every poor and uniform education system for all.

Addressing a gathering at the Daudpur village in Srinagar assembly segment of the district in support of his party candidate Bhanu Pratap, Paswan came down heavily on the BSP.

He said the BSP, which was selling out its party tickets, could not claim to do any good to Dalits and the poor. BSP National President Mayawati, who claimed to oppose the BJP in UP, did not hesitate to campaign for Narendra Modi in Gujarat.

Paswan said the very foundation of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) was laid to promote and protect the interests of Dalits. However, under the leadership of Mayawati, the Dalit agenda was marginalised and BSP turned towards the upper caste for its own vested political gains.

Appealing to the people to vote for the LJP candidate in Srinagar, Paswan said that if the LJP came to power, it would provide roof to the roofless.

He would also implement a uniform education policy. LJP National Secretary Chitra Singh and National President of LJP youth wing Asif Khan also addressed the meeting.
