Patient admitted in hospital

The patient was suffering from the upper respiratory tract infection followed by high fever, mild chest pain besides breathlessness.

Partap Singh (65) was admitted to a private hospital on Wednesday with the suspected symptoms of SARS.

The hospital authorities immediately shifted the patient in the isolation ward, hospital sources said.

The patient was suffering from the upper respiratory tract infection followed by high fever, mild chest pain besides breathlessness, the doctors attending him said.

After his admission, district health services constituted the panel of doctors for further precautions and the examination of the patient who is said to be the manager of one of the clubs in the city.

Civil Surgeon Dr Kawaljit Singh when asked for confirmation about the reports he quoting the nodal officer of the institute Usha Baweja replied, "No report has been confirmed by the NICD as yet".
