All the pains taken by the Moti Lal Nehru District (Colvin) Hospital administration in getting a clean chit from the CM's representative T George Joseph ruined when a large number of patients complained to him that they were prescribed medicines which were not available in the hospital store and they were forced to purchase them from outside.

Revenue Board member, Joseph who was on a inspection visit to Colvin Hospital on Monday noted down all these complaints in his hand book, probably indicating that he was quite serious on this matter.
Joseph inspected the diarrhoea, orthopaedic and other general wards and was apparently not pleased with the sanitary condition of these wards.
The patients waiting outside the X-Ray room complained to him that they were overcharged for X- Ray examination. An advocate, Rani, told Joseph that she was made to pay Rs 160 in addition to Rs 41 for two X- Ray films despite the fact that the films were provided from the hospital store. Another patient informed that he was forced to give Rs 80 for X-Ray examination. On this X-Ray technician RP Sharma also gave some explanation to the CM's representative but he was visibly not in a mood to accept any alibi.
Joseph also inspected the Blood Bank and found that it was functioning under its capacity. The members of voluntary blood donation forum urged him to increase facilities at the blood bank for convenience of patients.
