Patkar, who had yesterday launched a 24-hour hunger strike to protest Yadav's alleged misbehaviour with her, has not eaten anything so far, although she is drinking simple water.

Doctors attending on her said that KE-tone in her urine was found to be positive and added that since her blood sugar was also declining her condition could worsen.

The NBA leader must eat something before 11 pm tonight or else her condition might become really grave, they said.

Meanwhile, there was a tight police cordon around the private ward where Patkar was lodged and no reporters or press photographers were being allowed to see her.

Chief Minister Digvijay Singh went to Hamidia Hospital and enquired about Patkar's health.

Around 100 NBA activists, led by Patkar, had yesterday stormed Yadav's official residence to protest the state government's alleged "failure to prevent" raising of the height of Sardar Sarovar Dam from 95 meters to 100 meters.

Police later arrested Patkar and other activists.
