Meanwhile, people across the country staged relay-fast and hunger strikes to express solidarity with her cause.

Patkar, who was forcibly removed to the AIIMS, has been refusing solid food and accepting only water and lemon juice.

Her condition was stable and vital parameters like blood pressure and pulse rate were normal, AIIMS Medical Superintendent DK Sharma said.

At the Jantar Mantar camp, Bhagwatibai Patidar, who began her fast with Patkar, continued to refuse food for the 10th day on Friday.

Seven persons, including academicians and students, have been observing fast since Thursday when the NBA leader was forcibly removed to hospital by the police.

Meanwhile, Union Water Resources Minister Saifuddin Soz, Minister for Social Justice Meira Kumar and Minister of State in the PMO Prithviraj Chavan are touring the villages affected by the Sardar Sarovar Project to assess rehabilitation work.

NBA has been disputing claims of the Centre that almost 90 per cent of the affected people have been rehabilitated.

Support for the NBA is pouring in from across the country with people from Guwahati joining the cause and going on a relay-fast.

Rights groups are also observing hunger strikes in parts of Maharasthra, Bihar, Chhatisgarh and Madhya Pradesh in support of Patkar.
