Patwari held for graft

A team of the vigilance-cum-anti-corruption department has arrested a patwari at Kotlu area of the district, Jamaludin, for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 2,000 from Ram Rath Kapil of Kotlu village for doing his revenue work.

A team of the vigilance-cum-anti-corruption department has arrested a patwari at Kotlu area of the district, Jamaludin, for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 2,000 from Ram Rath Kapil of Kotlu village for doing his revenue work.

However, Kapil reported the matter to the vigilance department, which in turn laid a trap and apprehended the patwai while accepting the graft.

A case has been registered against the patwari and further investigation is on.
