NCP president Sharad Pawar and Union power minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on Tuesday filed their nominations from Madha and Sholapur Lok Sabha seats respectively.

Pawar is contesting the election from reconstituted Madha constituency in Sholapur district, moving for the first time outside his home turf of Baramati of Pune district.

Both Pawar and Shinde filed their nominations without any fanfare in keeping with EC guidelines.
In Pune Pawar’s daughter Supriya Sule also filed her nomination for Baramati Lok Sabha seat.
Vilas Lande (Shirur) and Azambhai Pansare (Maval) were other two NCP candidates who filed their papers on Tuesday, in addition to BSP’S nominee from Pune city D S Kulkarni.
