Union Home Minister P Chidambaram on Sunday said in deference to a request by the Israeli Consulate, its photographer was allowed to take pictures of the bodies of the Pune blast victims in a mortuary in Pune last night.

"The request was made for the purpose of identification. I will not comment on whether it was right or wrong," he said in response to a query by journalists.
Earlier, an official of the "Chhabad House", the Jewish Centre situated about 200 metres from the German bakery blast site, had told reporters last night that no Israeli national was found to be among the victims.
