Pakistan has offered to play a one-dayer against England in July next year in order to resolve the compensation claim by the England and Wales Cricket Board for the foreited Oval Test.
The ECB has asked for £800,000 in compensation from Pakistan for the revenues it lost during the forfeited match.
PCB's Director (Cricket Operations), Saleem Altaf, said the Board wanted to resolve the issue without going through any legal hassels.
"We are keen to settle this compensation claim with England without going through any legal hassles. We want to help them because we have good relations with them. The fact is we are doing our best to resolve this issue even though (umpire Darrell) Hair's removal makes our case very strong," Altaf said today.
Earlier, Pakistan had refused to cough up the compensation money claimed by the ECB, saying Hair was responsible for the forfeiture of the Oval Test and England should seek compensation from the ICC.
The Oval Test ended at tea on the fourth day after Pakistan refused to continue playing in protest over the umpires' decision to penalise them after bringing allegations of ball tampering.

{{/usCountry}}Pakistan skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq was later cleared of ball tampering charges, but was banned for four one-dayers by the ICC for bringing the game into disrepute.
After a voting by its permanent members, the ICC recently decided not to assign Hair any international matches.
Meanwhile, Pakistan and India will play a one-day international in July next year at Lord's to raise funds for the Prince Charles welfare trust. The match had been finalised by the Boards but other details would be worked out later on.
