"We want resolution of the Kashmir problem whether it is taking the peace dialogue process with Pakistan forward or the initiation, which has already taken place with Hurriyat leaders," PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti told reporters after meeting Singh.

She said "we want him to expedite the process and other confidence building measures including the demand for the Muzaffarabad road."

Mehbooba, one of the early morning visitors, said she had come to personally greet Singh on his appointment as Prime Minister.

The demand for Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road, linking the Kashmir valley to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, assumes importance for starting a bus service.
