PDP's secretary coordination Abdul Hameed Shokeen approached the Rajbagh police station and filed a written complaint against union minister Abdullah. The police have sought opinion of deputy commissioner for required action in the case.

The PDP has accused Abdullah of issuing threats to the party in one of his speeches made during his election rally here.

"Abdullah is reported to have said 'I would have attacked PDP leaders, if I had bombs, guns. I wish I had an authority and power and these (militants) behind me, I would have carried out hundred attacks on them (PDP). But I don't have that power and these militants," wrote Shokeen in the complaint

The day Abdullah made the speech, incidentally a PDP sarpanch was killed by militants the same day in south Kashmir's Awantipora area.
