Responding to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's statement that he and AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi were carrying forward the legacy of historic accords, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti said, "for the lust of power NC had always worked as a protege of Delhi's political class."

Taking a swipe at NC for its previous alliance with NDA she said, CM, while referring to Sheikh-Nehru, Indira-Abdullah and Rajiv-Farooq accords, gave a miss to NC-NDA accord, under which he was enjoying power.

Mehbooba said the infamous accords that Abdullah is bragging of, stripped Jammu and Kashmir of its distinct identity and natched its natural and water resources.

She said after the recent NC-Congress "accord", the regional party started pushing the state back to political instability and economic deprivation.

Campaigning at Doru in Anantnag-Pulwama parliamentary constituency, she warned the Centre against "allowing" NC to use its "traditional Goonda tactics" to manipulate polls.
