PDP ministers will boycott the farewell ceremony of Governor Lt Gen (retd) SK Sinha on Wednesday. The party has accused him of “taking dictates from Hindutva forces” and working to advance their agenda. A statement issued by the PDP spokesman on Monday has tried to profile Sinha as an agent of the VHP and the BJP.

A senior PDP minister said Sinha has “disgraced” the office of the Governor. “Under no situation are we going to accord him farewell. He doesn’t deserve this.”
Relations between Sinha and the PDP hit an all-time low over the transfer of land to the Amarnath Shrine Board.
